the aged spice of vintage and antique books being cracked open for the first time in decades;
taking a seat in a well-worn Naugahyde chair in a Brutalist library where angels may have walked, discussing love and their respective outlooks on the human condition.

Behind The Scenes:
Marginalia is inspired by numerous trips to used book shops, antique stores, and libraries on a grand scale all the way down to the private study (in this case, my grandfather's reading room where I used to sit and eat breakfast as a kid, on a leather ottoman from one of his trips to Egypt, stuffed with 40-year old newspapers). The library scenes from Wim Wenders' 1987 film 'Wings of Desire' were also an inspiration during the development of the formula.
