As the mist moved in, he did his best to convince himself that he wasn’t lost.
The boy came to a clearing in the forest, solace in the form of a shallow riverbed - until he looked across, coming face-to-face with The Beast of the Wood.

Behind The Scenes:
Rile was one of the first three concepts I began working on back in 2022. I wanted to create something that was “incense-driven", "smokey, without being a birch tar bonfire". I gave the initial prototype the name “Incensed”. As with my previous releases, once I gave what I was working on a name, the story began to form (see above) - but there were already fragrances with my working title - so I pivoted to another word with the same meaning: Rile. That decision finished the story, and evolving it into a Coming-of-Age tale of sorts... "Fight or Flight in the Forest".
